This was about the most fun we had this weekend:
Due to David's behavior at school, he had to sit out both his soccer game and his t-ball game on Saturday. It was tough - for ALL of the Ferguson Four. He was really good Saturday and Sunday morning, so we decided to let him play on Sunday - he had a make-up soccer game from last weekend.
Well, behold, David scored THREE goals!!! How many goals has he scored in his entire FOUR seasons of soccer? That would be five. Yep, the other 2 goals were discussed on the blog, with the second one depicted in a video and published on the blog. He's actually been doing much better in soccer the last couple of weeks, but this was the first game after he's shown improvement in practice.
Katherine is doing great!! She's finally figured out how to sit up from any position, but she still won't really crawl. She's made a few "steps", but she can't make it across a room or anything. She's also starting to try to pull herself up on the couch. She doesn't get very far, but the idea is certainly in her head. Looks like child #2 might also skip the whole crawling phase. We think she's learning to wave. Every once in a while, she'll do it at an appropriate time too! I've started working on the sign language, but it doesn't seem to be catching quite yet.
I don't remember if I've mentioned it on the blog, but she doesn't really seem to like fruits. Her favorite foods are squash ("squish" - her #1 fav), peas and green beans. Other than that, she's not just super interested. She'll eat carrots and sweet potatoes pretty well, and bananas and pears from her teachers at school better than us...and that's about all! Great, another picky eater. You can't tell by looking at her though - the girl's rolls have rolls. I LOVE it!
She turns 8 months this week, so I'll post at least one more time for that!
Thanks for stopping by!
