Send-Off, Ranger Style

In case you missed it, we did go to the Ranger game last night. One thing D said he wanted to do before we left the U.S. was go to a Rangers vs. Angels game so he could "BOOOO" Josh Hamilton. They were playing this week, right before we leave, but we thought it was important to take D to one more game before we head out.

D had a Fathead on his wall of Josh that's over 6' tall so we stuck it to a used packing box and made a poster to take to the game. You know, just to be festive!

Of course, we de-faced it just a bit, adding Josh's less-than-desirable stats for the 2013 season and drawing just a little bit on his face. Good times.

We also had a more positive sign that just said, "Hey Tom! It's our last Ranger game b4 we move to Germany on Thursday! GO RANGERS!"

It was the 2nd one that people saw on the FSW broadcast and also earned us "Progressive Fan of the Game!!" We were interviewed and everything. My good techie friend said he would try to upload a video of the interview and if he gets it, I'll load it here too. They wouldn't let us say we were there to Boo Josh, and they wouldn't show our other sign, but most of the fans that saw it at the game complemented it. In fact, there are probably a hundred pictures or so out there floating around on the interweb that people took of it.

The best part of all was that the Rangers were behind the whole game and tied it up with a home run (might I add about 2 seconds after I put on my rally cap!!) by AJ and then WON it with a walk-off home run by Soto! What a fantastic finish to such a fun night.
