Trophies, Football and Parades, OH MY!

David's soccer team once again, went undefeated in the fall season! They did tie once, but that was the only game they didn't win outright. David played goalie quite a bit this season - he did very well and seems to enjoy that position.

During one game this season, he was playing in the field and wasn't running his fastest. I told him to hustle and he turned to me, held his side and said, "Mommy, my hip hurts!" That got a chuckle from the crowd - and a sarcastic, "Just wait until you wake up in the morning and it takes you 10 minutes to sit up! Then you *really* know you're old!"

Here he is getting his trophy for this season. He's so proud.

And posing with his team and a couple of our "mascots" - little sisters, big sisters...
We also went to see Tech play Baylor at Cowboys' Stadium on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We had a great time with some family that came in town to join us. It was an awesome day of tailgating and taking in the new stadium...not to mention watching Tech actually win a football game! This was Katherine before her first meltdown of the game.
That shirt says "Texas Tech Princess" - a cutie hand-me-down from her cousin Lauren.

Thanks Grandmother for the game - we had a GREAT time!!! (Meme, you'll have to tell Grandmother she got the props on the blog.)

Finally, this morning, Katherine was in a parade at day-care! They're doing it again tomorrow, and it was pretty cute!! The babies went first, being pushed through the hallway in their cribs. Then came the toddlers!!!

I love the look on Katherine's face at the end. She's not too sure about seeing Mommy, and then leaving with her class! Her teachers told me when I picked her up this afternoon that they had massive meltdowns from all the kids seeing their parents, but then their parents leaving. They said Katherine did okay though.

If I don't talk to you all again, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
