Fall (as in Autumn)

Last weekend, Mommy took some time to scrapbook some memories. It was great fun of course, and I made some (albeit small) progress on Katherine's 1st year album. I'm still well over a year behind in her album and almost 3 years behind in David's. I think I'm going to have to start scrapbooking more often, taking fewer pictures, or becoming a speedscrapbooker. Hmmm... Or maybe I'll just accept that I'll always be behind and continue to use this blog as my guilt-keeper-awayer!!

So Katherine is really starting to show some mothering. She actually will even mother herself sometimes. Tonight at the dinner table, she swiped her own hand for pushing her plate away from herself. She also tells herself to eat, "Eat Kaferine". Here she is mothering one of her baby-dolls.

David's school had a fundraiser at Chick-Fil-A last week. I don't even need that much of an excuse to eat there, so we all went and had a great time. Katherine kept calling (really yelling) "COW" from our table, but if the cow made the slightest move toward her, she was scowling at me with this very concerned look. She wasn't so fond of the oversized bovine. David enjoyed the cow though!
A couple of Friday's ago, they had a photographer at the kids' day-care. This is a local photographer and they've done a great job in the past with my kids, so I was excited for them to have their pictures taken again this year! I'm not too good at getting professional pictures taken, but if they do it at school, then that's WAY easy! So Katherine was in a cute dress and it made for a photo-op at home too!
What are you doing Daddy????
Daddy is bouncing her up and down - she's standing on John's feet. Notice her hair flying up in the air. She was having a blast.
David was watching some TV. His current favorites are Handy Manny and Imagination Movers.
This is what he does when I tell him something he doesn't like. Nice, huh?
Two Sunday's ago, John was at the grocery store and the kids decided it was the perfect time to play in the laundry basket. What is it with kids & the laundry basket? David always loved it and Katherine is really starting to have some fun too. They were about to fall over here, I just love the looks on their faces!!
Right after the "fall"...no children were harmed in the making of these pictures.

I do have a video of David pulling Katherine around in the basket, but I can't edit it, so I'll have to wait until my own personal video editor can get to that little honey-do. I'll be sure and post it at some point. Hey, I have to keep you people coming back for something!

We couldn't have a post called "Fall" without pictures in leaves!!
That same Sunday, John took the kids outside for the purpose of helping David practice soccer. Well, they got sidetracked when they went outside and our entire backyard was covered in leaves! So, they decided to play instead. David and Katherine both had a great time. Also have a couple of cute videos of this, but alas, you'll have to wait!
Here they are jumping in. It was SO funny!!!
John's throwing leaves over David's head in an attempt to get an artsy-shot.
Then David started throwing his own leaves!!!
When it was time to go back inside, I guess Katherine thought it might be her job to finish up the raking. Isn't that just adorable??
Ummm, get busy girl, this tree has a LONG way to go!!!

Love the fall photos--the foliage has been so beautiful here and I wished for some pictures with the kids!

So you notice my kids are falling over in a laundry basket and you choose the picture? Not saving the kids from possible rug burn or worse? Anything for the shot I guess.......

They sure are growing up! Jenna has the same pink & brown outfit than Katherine is wearing while they are playing in the leaves. Too precious. So glad yall are doing well! I miss seeing you at work :(
