I know, I know, what kind of a rotten mother takes OVER a week to post Halloween pictures of her adorable kids?!?!
Here are David and Katherine in their costumes. David is a Jedi Knight and Katherine is Princess Leia. Yes, Katherine is very appropriately a Princess for Halloween. David has never seen, nor really even heard of Star Wars, but hey, what 6-year-old wouldn't want to carry around a light saber all night?
Mommy even dressed up!! Well, a little. I was really just trying to be festive. Here's Katherine at the pre-party.
Daddy snagging some kisses.
And then we started the trick-or-treating. We know just about everyone on our street so it really does feel like it's 1988 again and it's all safe. We do love that about our neighborhood. *Everyone* knows that Emy has the MOTHERLOAD of candy. She's all the way at the end of the street, so you have to do some walking to get there. She gives out full-size candy bars every year. She's well-known. The high school kids come to our street. I'm quite sure it's because of Emy.
David's teacher lives close to us - too far to walk, but still close. She'd sent a note home with her students to come by her house if they could so she could take a picture with them. Of course, we LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE David's teacher this year, so I'll pretty much do whatever she asks me to do. Taking David to see her was very fun. Here's their picture.
And here's the Star Wars poster of them:
Wow - look how much they've grown since last year!

In other news, this week, David's teacher sent home a "good note"!!! I don't think David has ever in his life received a note home from the teacher saying how GOOD he behaved that day. We were all so proud and David was thrilled. He wanted to put a picture of himself holding the note on the blog.

Well, this mother has posted Halloween pictures yet so you're one up on me! I just put the pumpkin patch pictures on picturetrail last week. I hear that term "Good Choices" a lot around Cole's school. That must be the early elementary buzz phrase.
So cute! I can't believe you have never received a note on how wonderful David did at school. He was such a star at his old school.
What a fun night you had!

I LOVE K's "Come here". Watched it several times.
Okay, I'm still back in June in my blogging so please, no apologies. ;-)
