Timing-wise, several of these pictures overlap other ones I've already blogged. I know, I'm breaking chronology rules all over the place around here. Please don't hold it against me.
I file our pictures in monthly folders. It's just the way I've found to be the easiest to keep everything straight. I think I've tried every photo-organization software out there (or at least read about them all) and nothing sounds any more intuitive than this. The problem comes when we have FOUR cameras taking pictures and the numbers will sometimes overlap one another. It's quite confusing, which is why I've missed some.
I'm sure you really wanted to know all that.
Since Meme and Grandmother came to stay with the kids while John and I walked up and down mountains all over San Francisco; and Grandmother is the ULTIMATE in all that is polite and classy, she actually sent a thank you note to us! Can you believe that? She drives and sits in a car for 14 hours, sleeps in a bed that isn't hers for at least 4 nights, puts up with two wacky kids for 4 days and one wacky 20-month-old pretty much by herself for a whole day and then sends US THE THANK YOU NOTE!! This woman was sent directly from heaven, there's no other explanation. Anyway, here we are reading the thank you note from Grandmother. Katherine got a snack to really enjoy the note.
Some days she wants a ponytail and no bow, some days she wants a bow and no ponytail and some days she wants both.
And some days she just really wants to wear her brother's Cars crocs.
I just thought this picture was funny. She was playing in a filing cabinet and I took a picture without the flash. Looks like she's furiously working away...
This is really what it looked like....
This was the same day as her haircut. What a pretty girl!
This was a couple of weeks ago, but David and Daddy were playing with some cheerleading moves. Okay, that's really NOT what they were doing, but that's what I think of when I see this picture.
Katherine decided to watch all the cheering from her baby doll's stroller. Ummm, I think she's a bit big for it.
No bother though, David will roll her around the house. They had so much fun doing this - it was hysterical!
Last weekend, Mommy went to spend the weekend with some of my closest girlfriends. I've known them all since high school. We had a great time.
In the meantime, it rained and rained and rained. David's tball game and his soccer game were both cancelled and he got the bright idea to go play in the rain! It wasn't cold at all, in fact, it was kind of hot, so it worked out well.
Daddy leaned his head over the camera to look at them and they both imatated his move. I think this picture is greatness - it's my new background on my phone and on my computer.

You think they're enjoying this?
On Sunday, Meme was back in town for work, and we loaded up to go see her and have dinner. We ended up at Spaghetti Warehouse. When we were leaving (Katherine wasn't quite ready) John put her up on his shoulders and I got this little smile in a picture. Isn't she just adorable?
We took Meme to see the Grassy Knoll and got a picture of her with the kids and her hotel in the background.
Along with Katherine's ever-improving fashion sense, she always wants to try on other people's shoes. Earlier you saw her with David's shoes, but here she is with mine. Heels. Wedges. Look at the look on her face!

I suppose I've complained enough about the camera I carry in my purse (aka my "purse camera") that John finally relented and bought me a new one. Oh yes, I LOVE it.
This is the first picture I took with it. Just look at those eyes!
My new purse camera also takes HD videos! I really love it! John's really good at this picking out technological devices stuff.
This is Katherine with some of her favorite animal sounds...and an "I wuv view" thrown in for good measure.

Lily loves her doll stroller too. The fabric seat has long been "broke" as it never really held many baby dolls (just Lilys).
The rain pics are very cute!
Congrats on a new purse camera!
Katherine's hair seems to be getting lighter too!
Can't wait to tell Grandmother Walker she made the blog--Great random photos. I had to steal the one of John with Katy Beth on his shoulders. How about the one with Katherine and her reflection in the window??
Love the rain pictures. SOOO cute!
