This Was LAST Weekend. Better Late Than Never?

So once again, I'm falling short of my "Every week I'll post to the blog at least once" goal, but hey, I'm doing better than some people (HINT, HINT!)

Okay, I feel better now. Misery loves company ;-)

As I type this, Katherine is multi-tasking. Her Sesame Street video is playing (ELMO!!!) while she sits at David's (or Day-did's) computer imitating Mommy. Earlier she was dancing to Boom Boom Pow. Before that, she was wearing some uncomfortable shoes, all in the name of being cute. Yes, this is all great fodder for the blog, but I'm at least a week behind, so that stuff will have to wait.

Also, from the last post, Meme asked about a specific picture in the comments. Thanks Meme, I totally forgot about it. Here 'tis. What a pretty girl!

Here's what she looked like LAST weekend watching the same Sesame Street video that's playing right now!
Last week, David had what we think will be his only nighttime soccer game. It was pretty cool to be under the lights, but impossible to get a picture of the action without my SLR - which I had left at home. I tried with my purse camera, but they're all blurry.

I did get some cute ones of the girl...
She was playing with her friend, Chrissy. These two girls are so sweet! Chrissy is the little sister of another player on David's team. She's a little older than Katherine, but super sweet and motherly to her.
On Friday night, our neighbors had a birthday party for their twin boys. It was superhero themed. If anyone knows how to throw a 4-year-old birthday party, it's them. This is the kids when they're being handed out their handmade capes. Yes, she made a super hero cape for EACH OF THEM by hand.
Here's Katherine's.
If that's the standard by which other moms are judged, I'm afraid I'm going to fail. I struggle with party favors, I can't imagine hand crafting something individual for each person attending the party! Kudos to Kim!!

On Saturday, we got out the tunnel. David LOVED this thing, so we're hoping Katherine will too.
David becomes "Tunnel Man"!!!
Ummm, yeah, I think she likes it!

Tunnel Man times two!
The dog thinks the kids have gone wacko.
Yes, Molly is still around. She's still in the puppy phase, which means that she's annoying at best, but Katherine and John really seem to enjoy her. She can be sweet, but she can also bite at our feet as we walk through the living room. Not sure what that's about.

So fast forward some, David's getting to be very good at playing goalie! We just might have found his niche in soccer!
And Katherine enjoying the weather while watching her brother play! She poured this whole bottle of water on herself. Good times.
Coach Jason giving the boys a great half time pep talk.
We finally decided that David was covering his face with the penny because the sun was hot. It's the best excuse we can come up with. The Hurricanes are a force to be reckoned with, so David doesn't get a ton of action at goalie.
Their "GO HURRICANES" cheer!
Yes, it was warm. Katherine is loving on her daddy.
David played on the field for some of the game. Here he is going after the ball.

Katherine has grown quite fond of 2 blankets in particular. This is a common site in our house:
The end.

More to come...possibly even in less than a week! I wouldn't hold your breath.

Great reflection photo of Katherine. She's looking down onto THE grassy knoll?? Great picture. Wow.

The bday capes - wow! Unbelievable!

Molly looks bigger in that pic. She's a cutie.

David looks like a natural out on the field. Is goalie to soccer like lead singer is to a band (they get all the chicks)?? Just wonderin'. ;-)

The reflection picture is a good one. My kids loved the tube toy too. Cole liked to get in it and have me throw balls into the top as he moved around trying to catch them.

Phew! I am glad that I didn't get called out in the blog! I do have 2 drafts that need to be completed . . . we will see!

Good one, Cindy. Loved the reference. I did not dream you were tattling on mwah.

So, how are you kids getting cuter than cute? Is Katherine as loving as she appears?

That Chrissy is a cutie, too.

Thanks so much for sharing your life, turkey.

When I saw you were tattling on someone's blog, I just KNEW it was going to be me! Which is funny, since I just hit "Publish" on a post (after a monthlong blogging hiatus).

Love all the pics! One of those outfits looks really familiar. And SO CUTE! Loved the reflection pic, too. Molly does look much bigger!

We need some close-ups of David. Katie Beth is getting all the close-up love.
