Last week flew by and I'm slowly becoming more determined to blog at least once per week. I had my blog printed to a book and I use it a lot when I scrapbook, so it's quite valuable to me, now if I'll just make the time and do it!
I didn't take ANY pictures during the week. I don't know why I don't get the camera out, but I don't. I did think at one point that it would be very difficult to tell time through pictures I take during the week though - since the kids both wear uniforms to day-care every day, they'd all look the same! Okay, that's an excuse...I'll try to do better.
This week was pretty uneventful...David is starting practices for his outdoor soccer team. They have goalies this season and picked up another player, so they need to get started! Katherine was her normal adorable, although DRAMATIC self. My dad told me this week that she reminds him of me. Ummm, I don't think he meant that in a nice way! I guess we paid for John's raising with David and we'll pay for mine with Katherine. She's a joy, for sure, but wow - she's a handful sometimes!!!
Speaking of that girl, she had quite a milestone this week!!! She...ummm, well, she did some business in the potty!! It wasn't a lot, and I'm pretty sure it was a coincidence, but we celebrated it all the same. Yes, I DO have pictures of that, but I'll spare you all. I think she wasn't sure if she was proud, scared or giggly. It was pretty cute.
This weekend, John & I spent some time cleaning out the toy room. Seriously, how did we accumulate SO MANY TOYS for two very small children?!?! We threw away a BUNCH of stuff, at least 2 huge trash bags and we're going to give some toys away to someone who needs them way worse than us and the toy room is finally somewhat livable. Katherine was having a lot of fun playing in it today after it was all straight!
In the chaos, David and Katherine took some time out to enjoy the new TV:
Also while John & I were working on the toy room, Katherine was suddenly MIA. We know if we don't hear or see her for more than 60 seconds, we might be in for it. We were. This was in the bathroom right off the toy room.
I think she was trying to go potty all by herself! She had no idea that the toilet tissue didn't belong all over the floor! I guess it could have been worse, she could have put it all in the potty!
David still loves to play games at his computer. Katherine loves to try to distract him!
Also this weekend, David had a couple of friends over to play. It seems like you only say that about big kids, not my baby!! I can't believe he's big enough to have friends over and they aren't coming over for us to babysit. Wow - where did the time go!!??
David still loves to play games at his computer. Katherine loves to try to distract him! Finally, for Molly...tonight while David was at soccer practice, I heard Molly going nutso in the backyard. She's not a barker (thank goodness), so I didn't even realize it was her for a while. When I finally did, I went out and saw this!!
Yep, that's a snake!! She was barking like crazy at it and nudging it with her nose. It was so funny! Of course, I do have a telephoto lens, I did NOT get close to the snake. Molly had fun though!!

The pictures of the two of them sitting together are SOOO sweet. I just love big brother little sister pictures. It's great to watch that bond. We were swimming this weekend and Audrey was copying Cole's every move. He'd say he was a shark and hold his hands a certain way and she'd say shark and do the same thing, she followed his every word and move as he worked his way through the sea creatures. Speaking of creatures, eww a snake! It looks so small compared to Molly and she's a small dog so I'm guessing worm size ;-)
thanks for answering the question, "are they really that cute?"
