As promised, here are the pictures we took Sunday evening in our yard. The family pictures were a bit tricky since we don't plan ahead very well and we were setting the camera up on the tripod and running back and forth with the timer. You know how hard it is to get a 15-month-old to look at a free-standing camera when the whole family is next to her? Yeah, the fact that we got any good ones is pretty impressive!
We got some really cute ones!! Here's David horsing around in a tree.
Yes, we put Katherine in a tree. John's got a good grip, don't worry.

Obligatory picture with Mommy! For the record, I told John to get one with them, but as you can see, David's cheeks were getting tired and we were losing Katherine fast.
Is anyone else a little freaked out that John can *still* throw David up in the air? The kid does weigh 40 pounds, you know. David loves it and BEGS John to do it anytime he thinks about it.
Katherine's not so sure about the whole thing, but she puts up with it because it makes her brother so happy.
And this is about the sweetest thing I've ever seen. Believe it or not, this shot was totally candid. John was sitting there with her so I could aim the camera (which balanced on a tripod on a ladder) to get it ready for the family picture. He leaned in & gave her a kiss and I just happened to catch it.
I have the best family ever!!!

Great pictures! The ladder perspective is really cool. Not to mention the In The Tree pics are just awesome. The mid-air "flying" pictures are great too!
Great pics! Good for you guys for making the time and effort to get a couple of good family pictures. I bet it IS hard to get Katherine to look at a camera when you guys are all next to her and no one is actually behind the camera. The kids in the air do look like they're flying. Very cool.
