Vay-K!

John and I took vacation today.  We had a great day - I got a massage and we went to see a movie.  Certainly not things we do very often, so it was our mini-spring break!  The kids went to Creme (David wouldn't have stayed home no matter what - they went on a FIELD TRIP!!!)

When we got them home, we played in the backyard, so I thought I'd share some of our pictures.  David starts t-ball on Monday with his first practice.  I've heard his coach this season is HOT, so I'm looking forward to that.

For those of you that didn't get that, John is the coach.

Here's David getting started on his swing:
He's so serious!
Katherine absolutely loves to be outside.  She seems to just enjoy the air more out there.  Very un-Mommy-like.  Here's a great profile picture I happened to catch.  Those eyes are still blue!
Check out the hair.  It's so crazy - I can't do anything with it!
So she has a tongue thing.  I think it's hysterical.  It seems like almost all kids have it, and she certainly does.  Here are a few shots from tonight.

We got this old-school rocking horse for David when he was a baby.  Katherine LOVES it.  Every time we go in the backyard, she will let us know she wants to be held, then she'll frantically point at the horse.  She's actually pretty good at it, but it did freak me out a little to step far enough away to take this picture!
Again with this hair!!  What do I DO with that?!?!?!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!  We're going off to see some family tomorrow, so hopefully we'll have some more pictures later!

So glad you and John had some time--everyone should have a little spring break. Must be Spring for sure when its time for T-ball and backyard activities--precious pictures of both kids. The one of Katherine with those eyes, and don't worry about the hair. Amie's was exactly the same way--and look at all the hair she has now!
Enjoy the weekend--Love, Meme

Awesome profile shot with those pretty blue eyes. I've put a little bit of gel or hairspray on my hands and smoothed Audrey's crazy spots before. Now if she would just let me put a bow or pigtails in for longer than 2 minutes. What movie?

Great pictures. The tongue-out pictures are great. Lily does the tongue-out concentration thing. As for the hair- we have a lot of luck with the Pebbles hair do (pony tail on top). But there was a phase where Lily wanted NOTHING in her hair. That broke Mommy's Hair Stylin heart. David is such a handsome boy. Those are great action shots! Have fun on vay-k!
