Yep, still behind.
It's Sept 4. Katherine turned 7 months on Aug 24. At least I TOOK the pictures on the right day. I didn't post them on the right day, but they are actually from that day. Do I get some consolation points?
Here's the little princess with the teddy bear.
Of course, David had to get in on the pictures too. Just like one time before, we had to bring in his stuffed animals too. Isn't he so cute?!?!
Here's another one where I love the look on Katherine's face as she looks at David.
And just another silly one of them together.
Then it was David's turn. He's so silly when I'm trying to take his picture posed, so most of them didn't turn out very well, but I thought this one was cute.
They are still getting along great! I think we finally are starting to believe that David won't be a jealous type of big brother! He hasn't shown any inkling of it, and we're so grateful.
On to other subjects...
David first 2 weeks of school went great. He doesn't really seem to be learning anything yet, but I know it's a big adjustment, especially for the kids that didn't grow up in day-care, so it will take a while for true curriculum to get started.
To David, it's just a "new school", just like Pierce was a new school when we went there and Creme was a new school when we went there. It's all pretty "normal" for him, so the adjustment really isn't all that difficult. Now, having said that, they obviously don't coddle him like he's used to. I'm sure there have been times where he didn't want to do something for himself, but had to. He hasn't talked about it, but I know it's happened.
Today, I was working from home for the morning so I was able to go have lunch with him. That was a real treat for both of us! I didn't tell him I was coming, and I could tell by the look on his face when he saw me that he was quite worried I was picking him up. He loves school and hates to leave, so that would be a real downer for him. When I told him I was just there to eat lunch with him, he was so excited. He walked through the line and helped me with the procedures. Then we sat down with his friends and ate. David's friends loved to talk to me and tell me about their lunches and David talked a lot about looking forward to lunch ending - for recess. Priorities, you know?
This afternoon, I asked him if he liked me having lunch with him and he said he did and asked if I'd do it again. I told him I would sometime, but did he want me to tell him or surprise him again? He said he wanted me to surprise him.
Once again, this kid got NOTHING from me!
Anyway, school is going great.

Great pics -- both of them are getting so BIG! I seriously want to come and play photog myself, just for fun.
I'm glad David is doing well in school, not that I ever doubted him for a second.
No comment on the nickname, except that it's misspelled, as noted in Daddy's email. ;-)
It looks like she's telling him to look at the camera in that picture.
That's a super cute one of David hugging his stuffed animals. I'm glad he was excited to have lunch with Mommy. I'm going to meet Cole next week and can't wait!
You could steal Jason's nickname for Audrey and call her "FG". We'll see if you remember what that stands for.
You have the cutest kiddos. I love the pictures and the ones of them together are sooo precious. I love that look Katherine is giving David! Nicknames are fun - Katie Beth is very cute. I'm glad David is doing well at the new school. That is soo sweet to surprise him!
Love the pictures of them together - your kiddos are cuties! And love the name Katie Beth!
