Tonight, we had t-ball practice make up from Tuesday. So we had swimming from 6-7 and t-ball from 7-8. Something tells me this might be how our life looks for a while.
They practiced hitting:

Or something. Katherine doesn't really seem to be watching, but she was smiling! After all, we're outside, we're standing (or walking), and mommy and daddy are hot. What could be better?!?!
For those of you who don't know who Helga is, let me educate you. Helga is David's MOST FAVORITE American Gladiator. Yes, yes, we know, that's quite strange, especially if you've ever actually seen Helga. Anyway, she is, and please keep the jokes to a minimum.
David LOVES American Gladiators. It's the first thing he asks for in the morning when he wakes up and he's begging every night to stay up past his bedtime to watch more of it. We've started recording the "old school" episodes for him - he loves those too.
Yesterday morning, David was up early and wanted to watch. Of course, like his Daddy, David does not like to watch commercials. Daddy decided now is the time to pass the proverbial remote control power "torch" to his oldest child. His only son. It was a solemn moment in the Ferguson home when David "past forwarded" (as he calls it) through his first commercial break. Yes folks, the audio/visual obsession has been passed on to the next generation.
Just look at those small hands on the DVR remote. Kind of brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it?

Ah---baseball, this truly could be how your life looks for the next several years--and beyond that!
Ok--I want to know how you did it??? The two pictures with Katherine--color subject and b & w background!!! Do I need a lesson from you in Photoshop?? Very cool.
Wow what a comprehensive post. Very cool with the artsy photos of you guys watching T-ball practice. Cole loves Gladiator too. He says Helga is MEAN though ;-)Does David pick a favorite contender each show and root for them to win?
For those that are interested, ESPN classic shows the "old school" American Gladiator nightly at 9PM. That is unless there is another important sporting event to cover like underwater basket weaving. It is often pre-empted for other more timely sporting events much to David's frustration.
Also, mama bird is sitting on baby bird in the picture, not sure why. I noticed this morning that mama bird was gone and baby was hanging out. I assume mama was out finding some food.
I second that I want to know how you did the B&W/color photo. Please share! Can't believe you two parents leave your work day and have such busy evenings. What wonderful parents!
Helga is our good friend Jimmy's favorite, too. So funny! Glad David is so handy with the remote.
If only y'all could cook up some cute kids. And some pictures. I mean, seriously.
The baseball pics are soo cute. He looks like a pro. The artsy pictures are very cute. I love Katherine's big smile. Good photo of the remote and fingers!
Oh - before I forget: I've heard doves usually hatch one to two babies at a time (I'm no expert but I do love birds). So one baby bird is perfectly normal. Yay for the Ferguson Dove Family Three!
