Princess

My good friend Monica is so good about using black and white in pictures, but I either never think about it, or I think the ones I take don't look as good in B&W. However, I took these closeups of my baby girl and B&W was perfect. She won't be this little long, so I'm doing all I can to save everything for posterity - my memory is so terrible that I'm sure to forget!

Here's her tiny hand inside her daddy's.

And I just love those baby lips and nose.
My sleeping princess!!
Speaking of princess, my girl is definitely a princess. In the evening when she's tired and fussy she has a certain position she likes to be held in and you BETTER get it RIGHT! If you don't she'll let you have it. She has to be held up on my shoulder with her head over and at least one arm over, but better if both arms are over. Now, with a 10 week old, this can get tricky - she'll move just a little bit and lean over so far she tries to fall - so you have to be on your toes. Also, I don't remember David crying with a pitch that actually hurt my ears!! This girl can do it. She doesn't cry so loud all the time, but sometimes she'll go super sonic and my ear drums will actually throb. Wow - must be a girl thing!

Those are the sweetest pics--sometimes classic B & W cannot be beat. I miss your little Princess and her big brother!!
Vocal cords in girls do seem to hit a very different pitch--I love your "super sonic" term--perfect description.

Gorgeous pictures! That's funny about the particular position she favors. Even at such a young age - they KNOW what they like!

Great use of B&W. Such tiny fingers and a peaceful sleeping angel. Can't wait to see the scrapbook page!
