Yesterday, Katherine was eating a little bit more at some of her feedings, and then when she ate at 10:00pm, she ate 6 ounces when she usually only will take 4. That made us very optimistic for a good night's sleep. Well, she (almost) delivered - but she did SO wonderful!
She didn't make a peep until 4am!! Then I would let her cry a little bit, go in, calm her down, give her the pacifier, turn on her music, and she'd go back to sleep for half an hour or so. I finally got her up about 6:30 and she woke up HAPPY! She wasn't screaming for a bottle like she usually is. She waited patiently for me to make her bottle, then she ate great!
I know it doesn't necessarily mean we're out of the woods on the waking up in the middle of the night demanding food, but we're certainly well on our way!!
Mommy couldn't be happier after 4 and a half hours of continuous sleep!!

Like Amy in the last post, I've gotten way behind in my blog reading (and not just yours!). So cool to catch up with you and the fam again -- and I really am going to have to have the full-size pic of Katherine "kissing" you. Too sweet!
Also, Lindi the bow designer gives free bows for pics -- do you have an extra birth announcement? She was SO excited to hear that her bow was featured! And I know Princess Katherine needs more bows...
Isn't it funny how motherhood changes you? Before 4 1/2 hours of sleep doesn't sound that great. But after a newborn is welcomed to your house, 4 1/2 hours sounds like heaven on earth! Glad to hear Katherine in getting into a good sleeping pattern. Hang in there!
