Weekend FUN!!

I seem to find myself quite busy these days! I'm not sure exactly what it is I'm getting accomplished, but I'm keeping myself occupied, that's for sure. So, I find myself posting about the weekend on Tuesday. It should have been Monday, but, you know, I was BUSY!!

Last weekend, John's mom and Grandmother came to town. Can I just tell you how much I LOVE it when they come? Meme (John's mom) had a work meeting and Grandmother came along for fun. Meme's meeting was cancelled due to the weather we had in Dallas, so it ended up just being a fun trip! John's sister was going to come, but she got horribly sick and had to stay home. We missed you Amie!

Katherine missed her Meme terribly, so they had quite a nice reunion.

Katherine hadn't met Grandmother yet, so it was hugely fun to introduce them. I think they like each other.

Grandmother is so amazing - she loves games ALMOST as much as David does, so they had quite the knock-down-drag-out battle over the Chutes and Ladders board. For the record, David won. They also played checkers and war.

Here's a milestone that honestly almost made me cry! Yep, my baby girl is in a bumbo! She doesn't exactly hold her head up by herself, but we're more than happy to help. She's growing up so fast! Notice the A.DOR.A.BLE. dress by the way. SO CUTE!

Here is my adorable little one snozing in red! Yep, she's wearing a red tunic, blue jeans and mary jane socks. She dresses better than me, it's official.

Another milestone from this weekend was *some* enjoyment of tummy time. David thought he'd join in the fun and start teaching Katherine how to play Nintendo DS. Really, is there anything cuter than these two kiddos?!?!

We had a great weekend. Meme and Grandmother and I went shopping on Saturday. Unfortunately, I had to face the music that my pre-Katherine clothes aren't going to fit in time for me to go back to work. Ouch! I did end up getting quite a few really cute pieces, so it won't be SO bad.

We had an amazing time with Meme and Grandmother. Thanks for a GREAT weekend girls! Come back...and SOON!

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Sounds like a fun weekend! I'm glad to see a picture of her in the Mary Jane socks. She is already quite the fashionista!

How fun! I'm so sad Lauren & I missed out on the FUN - there's not much better than a weekend in Dallas shopping, visiting, & playing Chutes & Ladders! We need to get another event on the calendar! Plus, I still haven't met my a.dor.a.ble niece. Love to you all & hope to see you soon.

Just read a couple of weeks worth of Ferguson news. It was just the fix I needed to brighten my day. Here are a few thoughts I had as I viewed...

The cookie cake was pretty cute, but not as cute as the birthday girl.

Love your idea of pics with the stuffed animal...too clever.

Your ring is dynomite! I bet it is even more beautiful on your hand.

Girl bonding moment was all sweetness. Definitely my favorite pic as of lately.

Praise the Lord! So glad your head is back to normal.

The progressive pics of David and the DS were priceless!

...hard to believe, but I need more bow pics of Miss Katherine. Those are addicting!

Much, much love.
