Yes, the angels have descended upon the Ferguson's. Our little princess angel ate last night at 10:00pm. She was asleep (more accurately, she was CONKED OUT) by 11:00pm. She is STILL. ASLEEP. It is 6:30am. She made a couple of noises during the night, but they were beautiful baby sleeping noises. There was no crying, there was no forced sleeping by mommy. There was just sleep. Beautiful, glorious, uninterrupted, fabulous SLEEP!
Mommy, she loves her sleep.
Katherine must get it from me.
Seriously, this is such a huge thing to me. David didn't sleep through the night on his own. I had to force him at 11 weeks. It's brutal on a mommy to force her child to learn how to sleep peacefully. Don't get me wrong, I think I did the right thing. David sleeps great now - he goes to bed (pretty much) when he's told and he gets a very healthy night's sleep and he's done that since he was 11 weeks old.
However, I thought I was facing forcing Katherine too and not only was I dreading it, I was doubting some things about how I've chosen to raise her so far. Her sleeping through the night on her own gives me a little security that I'm doing *something* right. She's learning that sleep is good for her and that I'll be there when she wakes up with a bottle, ready to love on her!
This motherhood thing - it's pretty wonderful.

Yeah! What a sweet heart! I know what a great relief it is when your kids finally start sleeping through the night. I can remember waking up startled because it was morning, and I had been in bed all night.
I bet Katherine did get her good sleeping habits from you. Most of us Fergusons aren't that good of sleepers...myself included.
I remember that too, waking up in the morning and freaking out because I hadn't been up with the baby.
