The first place we went, Katherine kept saying that she liked these pretty "grown up" sets. Most of them I actually liked, so hey, I'm willing to let her pick out something that might be a bit out of the 2-year-old look! However, she would tell me she liked something and I would say, "Do you want that on your bed?"
She'd reply (every time) simply, "No."
So we went to another store. When we rounded the corner toward the bedding, I hear, "ROSA!!!" screamed at the top of her lungs. And that is LOUD people, this girl has some volume. For those of you non-bi-lingual people (like me) rosa is pink in Spanish. She rolled the R and everything. She RAN toward this particular bedding and stayed right next to it no matter how many other beds I tried to get her to look at.
Ummm, I think she made up her mind.
It's relatively close to the color of her infant bedding, but I haven't decided if it's close enough not to re-do or not. I think it's just enough off that I'll have to do something different on her windows and walls.
This is her "I'm tired of taking pictures" face. Yeah, this girl has an opinion.
So I thought it was funny that you guys commented that I could just pick out the bedding and show it to her. That would have gone over like a lead balloon with this girl. She has an O.PIN.ION. about these kinds of things. I thought I could probably talk her into just about anything, but I was very wrong.
Funny Katherine-ism - just now as I'm typing this, she took off running to her room and when she got there we heard, "MOMMY!! MY BIG GIRL BED IS STILL HERE!!!" Maybe she thinks this is temporary?!?
This morning, David had a soccer game before 9AM. It was so gorgeous outside!!
David' played goalie for the first half. Our team did great, so he didn't get any action at all.
He played in the field for much of the 2nd half. I actually got a couple of decent pictures of him!
And Katherine ran around the field entertaining us during the breaks.
