Wildlife

Actually, I'm NOT talking about the kids!  We have actual, bonified wildlife on our back porch!  First, this is a picture of the front of the rocking horse that Katherine loves so much.  Anything look amiss to you?
Look CLOSELY!!!!
ICK!  GROSS!!!  It's a for-real lizard on my precious girl's horse.  Nasty!

This was several days later after it had been properly sanitized.  But she's being a bit wild too, so I thought I'd throw it in.
Again, on our back porch...an innocent enough looking ceiling fan.  I have told you we have a not-so-bright birdie perched up there sitting on an egg.
Well, lookie there, that egg, it hatched!  Here's the newest member of our wildlife preserve on the back porch.  We haven't named him/her yet.  Any suggestions?
Y'all have a great week!

Funny timing. Jason let the dogs in last night and a lizard scurried in along with them. He was my knight in shining armor and took care of it. If that thing had escaped further into the house I wouldn't have been able to sleep. I'm glad to see the baby bird has made it this far.

This will sound...odd...but I love lizards - particulary the chameleons (like yours). I guess it is because I grew up with them as virtual siblings. As a kid, I loved catching them (and releasing). Yeah- not much to do in East Texas. ;-) To this day, I'm the designated lizard catcher for the family (dont tell Dale). Yay for Dove Baby!! That's exciting!!

Darn- left of a name idea...I vote for a ceiling fan name like: Harbor Breeze or Hunter. ;-)

We have a new squirrel population--so cute--until I came home last Sunday and found one of the little cuties perched on one of the outdoor cushions. I turned around to get the camera for a picture, and when I looked closer, he/she was digging a hole in the cushion and taking out the soft stuffing!! Last I saw, the not so cute RODENT was hauling--with a mouth full of lining for a nest!! We would not mind sharing--just wish it was not at the expense of the outdoor furniture.
Love the idea of Harbor Breeze or Hunter for the bird's name--very clever
