Skating Video

On Sunday, David went to a girl's birthday party in his class.  It was a roller skating party.  Wow - I never even thought about taking my 5-year-old roller skating!  David had a great time and he was so determined to learn how to skate.  He did very well, only falling about 100 times.  Each time, he got right back up and kept going.

This video shows his progression.  The first part I took just as soon as I could get far enough away from him to turn the camera on.  Then he gets better and better.  In one section, you can see the birthday girl fly past him and it actually looks for a second like he's trying to impress her!!

So adorable!!

I have several pictures from the weekend, but for some reason, blogger isn't being very cooperative.  I'll try again tomorrow.

That IS adorable. Such determination. It is funny how she zooms by and he looks like he
s trying to catch her but falls. It's been so long since I skated I might be right there with him.

So cute! Roller skating is a great idea...but I don't think I would have thought of it for a five year old either. Way to go, David!
