Day 5 was our planned "rest" day. We started the day slowly (which was VERY nice) and just spent some time hanging out. The kids of course got restless quickly, so we decided to go feed the ducks! This green area was right outside the back door of our hotel.

Katherine was all dressed up in her newly purchased Disney Princess outfit, and Mommy was in her newly purchased Disney shirt, so Daddy thought this was a picture-worthy moment.

Katherine and her older cousin spent some quality time together.

David and Chris spent some quality time together.

And then we decided to head out to downtown Disney. If you've never been there, it's sort of the same idea as an outdoor mall, only the "stores" are pretty unique. The girls (except cousin Lauren) ate lunch at Wolfgang Puck's while the boys and Lauren went to a big virtual playground. When we were all done, the girls headed to a princess makeover appointment for Lauren (I HIGHLY suggest this for everyone with a girl over the age of 4 - it was super fun) and the boys went to play mini-golf. A great time was had by ALL of us!! The downside was that while we were doing all this, Fay decided to come for an extended visit. Wow - it rained and rained and it was very heavy. Still no lighting or thunder, but tons of rain. It did actually damper our fun this time - there wasn't a good place for Katherine to get some rest time from the stroller and there wasn't a good place to feed her. The boys got done with their golf game and we met up with them to get us over to a Cirque show. The girls (except Katherine) went to the show while the boys and Katherine went back to the virtual playground. The show was awesome, just like every other Cirque show. After that was over, we ate at a crab restaurant. It wasn't the best, but that could have been at least partially due to the fact that the rain. It STILL hadn't stopped. I don't think it even let up the entire time we were in the show. Fay was making sure we remembered her presence!
On Friday, we got up ready to go!! There was still some minor debate as to what park we should go to. By then, we'd been to each one once, so we just had to pick where to spend our final day. We ended up picking Hollywood Studios. It was a favorite of several in our group and it was the one where we'd spent the least amount of time and there were still some things we wanted to do. Not to mention that we all had lunch reservations. It always comes back to the food, doesn't it?
It ended up being a shorter day which was nice with another travel day just around the corner. It was less crowded, which was nice, and the rain had subsided just a little bit, so that was nice too! We got to the park a little later than it opened and we still parked in the front-most lot, a very good sign! The first thing we did was watch the Indiana Jones stunt show and then the taller folks went to ride Rockin' Roller Coaster.
We did run in to Leo - and even though we were about to go to lunch with him, David got a quick picture. Two kids behind David, Leo left so he could make it to the same lunch we were running off too - they're very careful about their characters' schedules at Disney World!

When we got to lunch (John, David, Lauren, Katherine and me) we were one of only about 10 tables. Leo came over pretty quick and the kids got to spend quite a bit of time with him. Then they called over a loudspeaker for all the kids to go to the center of the restaurant for some dance time!

Since Leo was at our table, David and Lauren got to walk with him! Isn't this adorable?

After all the dancing, Leo brought the kids back to our table and spent some time being very sweet to Katherine. She certainly got her fair share of large, costumed characters this week!

Goliath came over too and David got a very sweet hug. Goliath usually hangs out with JoJo (a clown) but the pictures with JoJo weren't especially cute.

June was the other Little Einstein's character at our lunch. David and Lauren had a great time showing her their imitation of her ballet moves!

Again, June gives Katherine some love too.

The only one of the Einstein's that David didn't get to see is Leo's little sister Annie. John said she must be a prima donna and wouldn't go out in the rain or something. I did think it was strange that we never saw her. We certainly saw plenty of characters!
We didn't stay very long at the park on Friday. The Henry's had to catch a WAY WAY WAY early flight the next morning and still had to pack. Since it's been more than a week since our trip, I'm sure I'm leaving out vital information, but this is all I can think of right now.
This concludes our WDW trip blog. Thank you for your patronage.

What a fun time! I love the little Einstein pictures.
You and Katherine are cute in your pink Disney outfits. I love the picture of the kids with Leo. Katherine looks proud to be in the picture with the big kids. Goliath looks so snuggly it makes ME want a hug from him!
Gee wiz - I'm tired and I didn't even go! ha!
What a fun trip! I'm sure as soon as Karsyn understands about Disney we will be making a trip ourselves!
Super cute pictures! Like Monica mentioned - I love the "proud" look Katherine has in the group pic. Your pics are so good it's hard to believe a hurricane was going on!
