Yesterday, when John picked the kids up from school, David was SO excited to tell Daddy about his THIRD DAY AT SCHOOL AND SECOND DAY AT THE WATER PARK AND COULD ANYTHING EVER POSSIBLY ANY MORE EXCITING AND I GOT TO GET WET AND PLAY OUTSIDE!!!
I think he likes the water park at ye ole Creme.
When John asked the teacher how David did that day, she said, "Did you know he's a genius?"
We had an idea.
But don't all parents think that about their kids?
Yes, I think they do.
I also think that David went to an awesome pre-school and they taught the kids there not only how to read, write, and count/add/subtract ("rithmetic"), but also how to love God and obey Him.
Thankyouverymuch.
We'll take it for now - doesn't everyone love to hear great things about their children. We'll listen if you want to say great things about ours!!
In summary, I think David's first week at Creme is going well and he's making friends and enjoying the water park. That's about all we get out of him. They do give us daily sheets for David (Pierce didn't - can you imagine taking notes on a 5-year-old all day?!?!) and he's not eating very much. I suppose that explains why he's SO SKINNY, but we're telling him to eat more. Other than that, they tell us he's adapting well.
On to our other little genius...
She tried peas for the first time tonight!!! I mean, could there BE anything more exciting than PEAS?!?!
Okay, I need an outlet, I know.
Anyhoo - here she is in her high chair anxiously anticipating what yummy concoction mommy might have for her tonight:

Is there any doubt you guys would have such smart kids given the gene pool they're coming from?!? I love the pictures of Katherine in the highchair with her pink bowl and pink spoon. So fun having a girl. She looks so happy.
I never had a water park at my school! I'm kind of jealous of that... Katherine is so cute with her peas. Way to go!
You gotta love the funny faces baby's make when they try new foods! Very cute!
Congrats on the peas! Who knew that peas could be so fun. I'm glad David's first week went well!!
Ah - what sweet smiles! Such a happy little girl!
I toured the Creme school in Houston...man, I wanted to quit work and go to school there. Seriously - how much fun is that school???
What a cutie! I wish I liked peas that much :)
