LOOK!! She's not wearing pink!

Katherine and I had lunch with some friends of mine from work on Friday. She was pretty good, but she did start getting hungry at the end. She slept like an angel all the way home though. It's always nice for me to get out during the day, so I'm blessed that she'll put up with it.

On Friday, John's dad and his wife came to town. John's dad cooked us a wonderful dinner on Friday night and then we all went to David's soccer game Saturday morning. They won - they are 2-o!! It's amazing how much better all the boys are now than when they first started! Even though it was REALLY COLD outside, it was fun to watch them. Katherine stays in her seat in the stroller all bundled up - she was warm when we got to the car again.
My dear, dear friend Amy sent Katherine a 1 month birthday present!! Katherine can't really enjoy it, but her family is TOTALLY enjoying it!! YUM!
Katherine is a bit under the weather. We've all had a cold, and unfortunately, she seems to have caught it as well. We're doing all we can to keep her nose cleaned out and she's doing pretty well, but we can tell she doesn't feel 100%. She's getting her 2nd RSV shot on Monday and they told me it's fine if her nose is runny. I don't think I ever blogged that actually!! Praise God, Katherine's been approved by our insurance to get RSV shots. They are incredibly expensive (I've heard $1,500 each) and are somewhat difficult to get covered by insurance. I'm so thankful that ours did approve the shots - since Katherine has a sibling in day-care and she was on oxygen when she was born, she's at a high enough risk for the illness that they'll cover it. If you don't know what RSV is - it's really just a cold in adults, but in high risk infants, it can put them in the hospital. It's nasty stuff.

She's starting to track objects with her eyes and make eye contact with me. She seems to be gaining weight well and steadily increasing how much she eats. She still wakes up during the night, but only one time for food. I can't believe she's a month old!!

She is such a doll. So cute. The bow buying has just started - hopefully she will like wearing them and leave them in her hair. Tell David "way to go" on winning his game! Karsyn is going to a Christian daycare - I can't wait until she starts saying verses like David did. He was always so cute sitting in that chair saying his verse.

Sorry to hear about the colds. We've got similar stuff going on at our house. I hope you guys get over them quickly!
