Which Way Did Cindy Go and What Did You Say That Condition Is??

Coming to you live from C Town tonight is The Husband. Only half of the family is home, my girls are both still at the hospital. Yes, if you have not heard yet Cindy is back at the hospital, not as stow away or a boarding guest, she is actually a real live patient once again.  David kept saying he wanted to see the second floor and we now we have. Cindy went back with a similar but different headache after trying to fight through it Sunday morning. We bought a blood pressure monitor just as a precaution, sure enough it was through the roof. Her Doc told her to check into the ER. David was dropped off at his friend Nathan's house and we headed back to the hospital. We did get some degree of red carpet treatment into an ER room. A short four hours later we were in the ICU on, you guessed it, the 2nd floor. They immediately started treating the high blood pressure. Personally I like to refer to it as Postpartum Preeclampsia.

Okay, okay. Enough already. I have already skipped one hundred and three important details and we have not even made it to Sunday evening. Here is the short version. Cindy has been mis-diagnosed by some, guessed wrong by others, distancing from responsibility by one, and a battery of tests to eliminate the possibility that she has anything you can think of, not exaggerating here, ANYTHING. After two days of this we are confident that the headache is being caused by BIG HEAD SYNDROME. I don't remember the actual term, she has it written on a piece of paper at the hospital. Her brain is a bit swollen and they need to aggressively treat the blood pressure in order to fix the problem. She is currently resting on the third floor in the post prego area where she is more comfortable being treated by nurses that can help her with Mommy stuff yet she is being monitored by the ICU staff remotely. Our understanding is that she is doing fine, and will be fine as soon as they get the BP down and are able to keep it there. Then she can go home and the condition should eventually go away completely.

All of you faithful readers can bug Cindy to provide all of the juicy details. We apologize for the delay in providing updates. So here is the good news.

Princess Katherine is ready to go home. This will probably happen sometime on Tuesday. Maybe Mommy can go home late Tuesday evening if all goes perfectly smooth with her treatment. If not Meme (my Mom) and I can manage. Mommy will have to rest regardless so we are ready and eager to receive her royal Majesty to her castle.

David also got to see his sister finally. The great nurses in the NICU took Katherine down to the ICU to let Cindy see her this morning then they took her to the baby viewing area to let David see her through the glass. The concern is RSV so David cannot touch her or be close to her until she is out of the NICU. They are just protecting the other preemies in the NICU.  David was soooooo sweet and sooo excited finally see her. It really was the sweetest thing ever. He told Mommy the he "really loves MY baby sister" on the way back to the room. So let's all say a collective ahhhhhhh.

I just got another Davidism too. See, he is working on a play at school. He is the King that orders Daniel into the lion's den. They have been working really hard on it lately. He got to bed late tonight and after a few minutes in bed he came out of his room walked up to me and said, "Daddy, my line in my play has forty-one syllables." Yep he counted all of the syllables for his lines. That is my boy.

That is all for tonight. Hopefully Cindy will be healthy enough to assume her duties soon. We will keep everyone updated as much as possible. Thanks for your continued prayers and support.
