No White Christmas for Us, But It Sure Was Fun!!

Well, we just got home from our big Lubbock trip. We ended up staying for 8 days - it was a long trip, but tons of fun. We always have a great time in Lubbock...but oh, the driving. Mercy, it is terrible!

Anyway, we all had a great Christmas, including Katherine!! She got her first Texas Tech onsie, and that just makes her an official member of the family! It's actually got ruffled sleeves - so cute! She also got the most adorable bows that I already have outfits to go with - this girl better have some hair, or I need to buy more of those garter belt looking thingies.
David's visit from Santa went really well. It was actually quite funny. We have the whole thing on video (2 separate occasions) that I'll have to share. He's such a ham. See...video teasers, just to keep you guys comin' back!
Here are a few pictures from the week:
Here's the family with Santa that came to Nana & Pops' (John's sister's husband's parents):

David with the same Santa - last year, he wouldn't go anywhere near Santa at Nana & Pops'!!

David and his cousins tracking Santa online. They kept thinking he was getting close, and this room was also David's bedroom, so he kept telling them they needed to leave so he could go to sleep!

This is David on Christmas morning with a 1st grade math workbook that Santa brought him. His Mousetrap game and Sorry game are also on the table. He had a great Christmas!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too! In the comments, leave what your favorite gift was - either to give or receive! My MIL got me a beautiful laptop bag for work which I love. We gave David a Nintendo DS (last minute decision) and he loves it so much - and he's having a great time learning how to play it. We gave John's grandmother a blanket that she seemed to be really excited about - it's super soft and warm. We also gave John's mom some new software for her Mac - I just hope she doesn't maim us for frustrating her!!

Whoa. Only 60 more days until Katherine is due. It feels like time has sped up a bit. Thank you busy holidays.

I love the family pics with Santa. David looks like he was really enjoying the experience.

My favorite part of Christmas was seeing Mia's eyes light up when she saw her Harley Davidson tricycle. The walls at our new house have a few scuffs now, but I couldn't be happier about seeing her joy in riding that thing.

Happy New Year to the Fergusons!!!

I had lots of favorites. The kids sleeping until after 8:00 Christmas morning, seeing Cole so excited about his Miami Dolphins hat(he loves the dolphins even though they've only won one game all season)and celebrating Audrey's first Christmas. My favorite gifts were a small digital camera for my purse from Jason, so that I never leave home without a camera and a new winter coat from my mom.

Sounds like you had a fun Christmas! LOVE the Santa pics! And don't worry, if Katherine doesn't have any hair - I have lots of those stretchy headbands since Allyssa didn't have hair for about 2 years. : )

My favorite part of Christmas. . . .definitely watching Allyssa get so completely excited about every little detail of Christmas. She took her time opening each gift and then had to play with each one before getting interested in another one. I know that won't last forever so I enjoyed it this year. Her favorite gift - a pink fishing pole from her Daddy. My favorite? A silver watch from her Daddy. : ) Allyssa also got the Fisher Price digital camera and a new dollhouse that she's having lots of fun with. We had a wonderful Christmas!

Giving my boys what they wanted (ThinkGeek gear for the older and Abercrombie for the younger) was a lot of fun, as were my two gifts, my new iPod and my lentil press. And with my multiple gift certificates to my favorite glass store, I might buy another press. I'm just beside myself!
