Happy Birthday Katherine Elizabeth

Greetings from a worn out Ferguson family. Guest blogging this evening is John Ferguson aka "The Husband". This will be brief and to the point, it is all about the pictures right. In fact I can write anything I want 'cause you have already scrolled down to the bottom to look at the pictures. 

Cindy is doing as well as can be expected. She did a great job. I know all of you want to hear the details but come on, I am a guy. She will have a ball telling everyone about it. In fact she told Monica the same story a couple of times already today. She was sitting there listening 

as if it was the lead story on the nightly news.

Katherine is in the NICU for at least 48 hours. As of this evening she was on 27% oxygen, room air is about 21%, and she has an IV that is providing some antibiotic and fluid. She is doing great and is being well taken care of by the staff. If you have not already heard she is 6 lbs 15.8ozs and 19.5 inches.

Here are some more pictures. I am spent already. I sure am tired and my role was very limited in today's festivities. Many props go to my very brave and beautiful wife for making, and delivering, yet another perfect child. She is pretty good at it you know. Hmmmmm......

So, she usually adds a Davidism to a post. Well here it is. Cindy did not even hear this one yet. When I got David back to the hospital Cindy was getting back to the bed with an assist from the nurse. David and I were waiting behind the curtain when he says...."Daddy, did Katherine already know which door to come out of?" He is very excited that his baby sister decided to make an early entrance. He cannot wait until he gets to see her.

Let me close by saying this. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. This has been an amazing experience and so far things could not have gone better. We are truly blessed in so so so many ways. I thank God for my family and and all of the blessings that he has poured into our lives.
