32 Weeks and Katherine's Room

I'm officially 32 weeks and the video is below.  Goodness gracious, I'm sure those of you that I talk to daily are just thinking - "Will she have that baby already?!?!  She's driving me CRAZY!!"  I know, I know, I try really hard not to drive people nuts, but I am NOT a good pregnant person.  I know I should be counting my blessings, thanking God every day that I am pregnant and that everything seems to be going along just dandy.  Believe me, I do thank God every day.  I know He is raining blessings down on me right now with Katherine's health and my own.  Having said all that - I'm ready for this to be over!  The puffy-ness, the sciatic nerve, the exhaustion, blah, blah, blah - it's all starting to really get old!

Then, today, as if to remind me, God put someone in my path to remind me of my good fortune.  A teacher at David's school is pregnant.  They've told her all along that 1/1 is her due date.  1/1 came and went and nothing.  For some reason, they did an amnio (?) and moved her due date BACK THREE WEEKS!!  OUCH!  Can you imagine thinking for 9 months (it's really 10 by the way) that you're due on 1/1 only to find out that it's really THREE WEEKS later?!  I can't fathom the distress on her brain.  YUCK!  So, see, I really should just count my blessings, limp around like an 80 year old, push on my feet like the Pillsbury Dough Boy, and be quiet.

The feet really are funny by the way - I really crack myself up at night pushing on them and watching the dent come back slowly - like a foam mattress!  I don't think John thinks it's quite as funny as I do.  But it's hysterical, trust me.

Anyway, here's the video:

This weekend, we worked on Katherine's room.  I'll post pictures when it's all done, but I have a couple of things left to buy and hang.  John got her name hung, I got shelves for knick-knacks and John hung those too.  It's coming along.  I'm not ready to call it finished yet though, so I don't want to post pictures quite yet.

While we were working in there, David was playing various games around the house.  The first time he came in the room he said, "Katherine's room is getting BEAUTIFUL!!!"  He's so sweet.  Then he plopped down like this:

Yep - that's an infant Bumbo that my skinny little boy is sitting in!  He thought it was hysterical to sit in a chair meant for his little sister.  What a cutie.  Talk about blessings, it's pouring over here!

Isn't it fun getting to decorate a girly pink room?!? I love the look on David's face.

Can't wait to see pictures of her room! We still need to come by and see your house.

Hang in there! My due date with Xander was 8/19 all the way to the end, and then it was changed to 8/31. I had him on 9/1. How's that for fun times? :) We know now that if we have another baby to add 2 weeks at the beginning, so the end won't be so hard.

What did I tell you about swelling in your feet and ankles at Christmas?? I hope you are keeping your feet up as much as possible.
Now that the Christmas rush has settled, what is David's favorite game--still crazy about Sorry and Old Maid?
