I'm actually 28 weeks today, so "officially" in the 3rd trimester. Since Katherine will more than likely be early, I like to say that I've already been in my 3rd trimester for a couple of weeks. Makes sense to me!
I did go to my first diabetes "class" last week. I just got my meter, they told me how often to check my sugars, they gave me a guide for a meal plan and told me what foods fall into what groups. There were some surprises - for example, all lentils are carbs, not proteins. Who'da thunk it?!?! Peas, corn, and potatoes don't count as vegetables. I thought that was just rude. So this week I've been annoying everyone around me by meticulously watching everything I put in my mouth. So far it hasn't been terrible, but I don't think I have this whole thing figured out just yet either. I'm starting the diabetes routine a full 2 weeks earlier this time than I did with David, and believe me, I'm missing every single one of those cookies I won't be eating over the next 2 weeks!! So -- if you plan on visiting me after Katherine's born, the price of admission is something with sugar for mommy!! (I jest, of course)
So, it's been a week since I posted - what's up?!?! Sorry, I was really just zonked out most of the week.
Here's the video of the progressive pregnancy pictures (turn up your volume, there's a voice over too! I love my MAC!!)
I actually also got Christmas cards done. They aren't actually in the mail yet - I just finished them up tonight, but they're on the way! I'm later than normal this year, but they are coming.
I'll make a separate post with some Christmas pictures soon.
Oh yeah - one more thing - my ADORABLE, personalized diaper bag came in today. It's even CUTER in person! I love it. John, of course, thinks I'm a little nutty, but it really is just adorable.
Okay, one MORE thing - here's a cute David-ism from tonight. He got out of the bath and told me, "I'm almost a grown up because I'm already FOUR YEARS OLD!!" Yep honey, you're almost there!!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!
