Thanksgiving

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!!  We did!!  We took a trip to Oklahoma City for a great visit with John's family.  John's sister & her family also made the trip, so it was great for David to spend some time with his cousins.  Here's a pic of the kids watching a video together.  Aren't they just adorable?
Unfortunately while we were there, John got horribly sick and spent most of the day Thursday in a chair wishing for sleep.  He managed to still get to catch up with some of his family, but everyone could tell he didn't feel good.  Friday he didn't leave our hotel room until late afternoon.  He started to feel better, but it was probably just a miserable visit for him.  Poor thing!!  I know he just wanted to stay there so David could hang out with his cousins - which he did - and he had a wonderful time.  Uncle Gary took them all to see The Bee Movie and Grandad and Uncle Gary took them all bowling.  When we asked David about the movie, he just told us "it's about bees."  Thanks kid.

We came home on Saturday and spent most of the day unpacking, doing laundry and resting.  We were home in time to go to church, but given the way John was feeling (and David also has a cold and a terrible cough) we decided we wouldn't expose everyone there to our germs.  Sunday morning we got up and lazily went to IHOP for breakfast.  Then John worked on getting the computer set up the way we want it, I went to the grocery store and David played around the house most of the day.  It was great rest, especially for my two favorite patients, and I think they're both feeling better and ready for the week now.

I still plan to get a video of the lights on our house to the music, but it's just been too wet and cold to do it!!  I think it's supposed to warm up this week, so hopefully I'll get it done and figure out how to load it to the Mac!!

FYI - the Mac is taking some getting used to.  For example, I can't figure out how to move pictures around when I'm building a blog post.  That can be QUITE frustrating!!  We're also getting used to the software.  I think the video software will be great, but we haven't really played with it yet.  The picture software seems to be really good - just have to figure out how to organize everything!!
