Where did my ankle go?

First things first, here's my ankle tonight. Now...I'm only 20 weeks! (Well, really 2 days shy of 20 weeks) Can you imagine what this is going to look like 20 weeks from now?!?! I shudder at the thought.

Do you SEE the sock line?!?!? How unfortunate.

Now for the sonogram pictures. Here's an adorable profile of our little princess as John called her earlier tonight. The sonogram was super detailed, so we saw all her organs and even blood flow through her umbilical cord (I love saying "her" instead of "its"!!) Her brain, lips, nose, fingers, toes, legs, arms, heart, kidneys, stomach, bladder, and feet all look wonderful. She weighs 13 ounces.
And here's the money shot!!
John and I went to dinner tonight to celebrate while a *wonderful* friend of ours took David. We spent some time celebrating this milestone and also wondering...what are we going to do with a girl?!?! We're both comforted by the fact that she'll have a brother, 5 years her senior, protecting her. But come on, I've *never* been able to get those ponytails and bows in my friends' girls' hair!! I'm gonna need some tutorials before this gets out of hand! We also started the name talk - nothing yet. We started nursery talk - nothing yet there either. We're still adjusting to being the parents of a girl and loving every minute of it.

In case you were wondering, David jumped up and down when we told him it was for sure a girl. Then he said "I wanted a baby sister, and now I'm getting a baby sister!" He's thrilled.

First of all, so glad that you are keeping a blog. I loved seeing the picture of you and David...very cute.

The ankle humor cracked me up.

It's a girl, it's a girl. Baby Ferguson is a healthy girl! God has blessed you with both genders...what an experience. Praise Him from the rooftops!

Congratulations!! You are going to love having a little girl - they are so much fun to dress up!! But beware - it does put a strain on the bank account! ha ha!!

And the blog is great - you will love doing it and then reading it later.

Wendy (Jean's daughter)

Also - if you need websites for hairbows, clohtes, etc, just let her know...I know too many of them! :-)

See, I knew I would end up getting to buy some of Lindi's cute bows for a baby girl close to me someday. And now I have both a niece and a great-niece to spoil!

God is good.

Now I just have to get a job to commence with the spoilin'! ;-)
