To 'splain what the last 2 night have been like...well, see, no, no, too long.
So to sum up:
Tuesday night we tried cereal again. Katherine no like-y.
She got several bites with a bottle chaser - which she would still scream intermittently
So, we think she got it too fast, and once it was all in her tummy...
Right back up it came.
Yummy.
So tonight we just put some cereal in her bottle hoping that might make her last a little longer tonight. This getting up at 4:30 every day is *really* starting to wear out the Ferguson Four.
Okay, really, it's just 2 of the Ferguson Four. #3 doesn't really seem to notice.
Oh yeah, except that #3 is on coughing routine #1,467. Yep, he's coughing all night AGAIN. So, we're doing breathing treatments twice per day and trying to keep him calm.
#3 is also not behaving very well at school so he's pretty much lost "everything that is fun". So now in the evening, we spend quite a bit of time arguing with him about whether or not things he wants to do are really fun. For example:
David: Can I read a book while I do breathing?
Daddy: No
David: But reading's not VERY fun
Daddy: It's fun enough that you can't do it
David: But it's not fun if you read to me, it's only fun if I get to read
Oh really?!?!?!
Also had a funny David-ism from this weekend.
We ate lunch on Sunday at Pei Wei. The woman who took our order asked David, "How old are you?" He said, "4 and 5/6." She said, "Oh, you're 4, almost 5, then you'll be 6?"
I said, "No, he's using a FRACTION - he's 2 months away from his 5th birthday."
She looked at me like I had 3 heads. Ummm, he's smart.
Ya think?
I told one of Katherine's teachers that David says he's 4 and 5/6 and she thought the same thing. Nope, fractions people, my 4 year old talks in fractions.
To be honest, he doesn't understand that 10/12ths reduces to 5/6ths. He does know that 4 & 3/4 is closer to 5 than 4 & 1/2 and 4 & 5/6 is REALLY close to 5. We'll really freak people out when he starts telling people he's 4 & 11/12 in a month!
Kids, aren't they just fun?!?!
UPDATE - Katherine slept until 5:45am this morning!! YIPPEE!! She ate that bottle last night like I was giving her chocolate chip cookies, so I think she likes it! Let's all just hope it continues!!
David also got up at 5:45 this morning. Not so great for him, but the coughing woke him up. Hopefully he'll be better in a couple of days.

I'm glad to hear Katherine did better last night. Did you tell David she slept all night instead of 8/9ths of the night?
Glad to hear Katherine is sleeping better! I hope David's cough gets better soon. Funny about the 8/9ths Monica!
