Weekend

This weekend was lazy, busy and fun all wrapped into one!

On Friday, my sister left to go back to her family. Thanks Robert, Bradley and Conrad for letting us borrow her for the last week!!! David had a great time with Aunt Isa and I think she and Katherine enjoyed their time together as well. Thanks for coming Aunt Isa!!

I believe my girl has her days and nights a little bit mixed up! See, she's supposed to go right to sleep after the nighttime feeding, but this is her on Friday night after the 10:30 feeding. Look at those beautiful (WIDE!!) eyes!
For this picture, she's showing that she's already a bit of a drama queen! A drama queen with a pink pacifier that is.
On Friday, her belly button finally fell off, so Saturday night, she had her first real bath. Mommy did the bath while Daddy took the pictures. She enjoyed it, although Mommy realized that it's been a long time since she bathed an infant! They're slippery little suckers!
Isn't this just wonderful? A clean, happy, sleeping baby.

Also this weekend - we've been talking about taking down the deck in the backyard. On Sunday afternoon, John all of the sudden decided he wanted to start working on it - so off he went. David went with him to play in the backyard. Ten minutes later, David comes in crying and screaming, "My Daddy, My Daddy!!!" He scared me to death, I thought John had cut a finger off or something! Then David finally gets out that he's crying and upset because he didn't want the top of the deck to come off!! We still aren't sure why he cares, but he was QUITE upset about the deck coming down.

On Sunday night, we had yet another dinner brought by yet another wonderful friend. After dinner, we told David he could have M&M's for dessert. This is what he did with them:

Ummm....okay.

Lastly, on Sunday night, my hubby stayed home with both of the (sleeping) kids and I met my friend for a dipped cone. We haven't done that in forever since I haven't been able to have sweets for a while, so it was super nice to catch up! Here's how I left my little princess.

Happy Monday everyone!

It seriously lowers my blood pressure just to look at your sleeping baby. Loved the "drama queen" and the iPhone pics, too. Oh, I wish my Mia could've seen the Daniel play. That video is stinkin' awesome. You are doing such a good job of documenting. Hope you are getting some good rest, too.

Much love.

Oh, ummmm, the M&Ms thing? That's genetic, from me. I used to sort and eat candy that way. David comes by his OCD honestly... sorry! :-\
