He said, "Mommy, how did she get out of your tummy?"
Ummm, well, see, ummm, it's kind of like, well, let me see...
I looked at John, "Daddy?"
He looks at me, "Mommy?"
John says, "Well, the doctor takes the baby out of mommy's tummy."
I say that girls and boys have different bodies and God made a girl's body so she can get a baby out of her tummy.
John reminds him that God made the world so that only girls have babies, not boys. I point out that with animals, God also made the girls have the babies. John asks David if he knows what a baby kangaroo is called and the subject is successfully changed.
Whew...we certianly didn't expect a conversation like that with our "four-and-three-quarter" year old!! It *almost* made me wish I'd had a c-section!
I'll leave you with a girl bonding moment. Isn't she just the most adorable?!?! John discovered that if we hold her just right, she'll reach up and give us "kisses" on the cheek.
She is getting bigger by the way. She's moved into size 1 diapers from newborns and when we went to the doctor to get her RSV shot, she weighed 8 lbs, 12 oz. What a chunky monkey!!
