Update

When we went to see Katherine at 2:00, they had taken the tube out her mouth because she'd taken 2 bottles!! Now, that's only 20 cc's total, but that means that her feeding reflexes are in good working order. This is a huge blessing for a 5 week preemie!!

John went in and got to feed her himself about 4:00 this afternoon. I'm so thrilled for that blessing!

On my update - the "spinal headache" as they're calling it got really bad late this afternoon, so the anesthesiologist decided to repeat the blood patch to try to fix the problem. He said that the first blood patch works 95% of the time, but the second one works virtually 100% of the time. They did the second one about 4:00 this afternoon and so far I'm doing great.

I'm going to go see Katherine in about an hour (about 8:30), so I'll try to put up another update after that. Maybe I'll get to feed her too!!
