Of course, we did most of the Christmas decorating the weekend before Thanksgiving, but I'm just now getting around to posting some pictures. I love this time of year - minus the COLD weather!!
Here's our tree. It's finally starting to look like it has a decent amount of ornaments on it. Still not as full as I would like it to be, but we're getting there. I think for most of our marriage, we've just focused Christmas decoration purchases in other areas.

Here's the mantle - complete with FOUR stockings! I can't believe there will actually be 4 of us next year! John actually decorated the mantle this year, I think he did a great job!

Here's one place where we've spent Christmas deco funds - nativity scenes! It is, of course, the whole reason we celebrate Christmas, so it's always been more important to me to have lots of these scenes. This is a new one we got this year. The detail on the wise men is beautiful! Of course, none of these figures actually look Jewish, and Mary looks NOTHING like a woman who just went through labor, but hey - at least it's reminding people of why we care about December 25th at all!

Here's another nativity scene. This one is easy to put out - it's all one piece!

And another nativity. Pardon the fan remote control - you'd think I'd move that to take a picture! Anyway, we've had this one for a while too, but it's a favorite.

When I was growing up, my mom let my sister and me put up smaller trees in our rooms. I always thought that was the most fun. I got to pick which ornaments I wanted on my tree and I got to decorate it all by myself. The best I remember it was a white tree, but I may be thinking of my sister's. Anyway, we have pictures of both of us in front of "our" trees. I think when my kids get older that might be a tradition we start in our family as well.
Tell me about a tradition in your family!! I love to find out what other people do!! Maybe I'll steal your ideas!

The tree looks great! I love the Nativity Scenes too. We have one scene at home that I love putting out each year. I didn't think about doing multiple Nativity Scenes. I shall steal that from you!
