Halloween!!

David had a wonderful Halloween. He was very sick the night before - poor thing. About midnight, I think it occurred to him that he really was sick. He said (well, really more whined) "If I'm sick, I can't go trick-or-treating!!!" It was so pitiful the way he said it - it broke my heart. Luckily, by Wednesday morning he was fine and ready to go. I took him to school about noon and picked him up about 4. Then we came home, got into his costume, and headed down the street to our block party. There were a bunch of kids and David was really doing a lot of people watching (as opposed to actually playing with the other kids). By 6:00, David had enough of the party and was ready to go trick-or-treating. He'd waited long enough! Unfortunately, since the time didn't change like normal, no one was going home because it was still so bright outside! So, we ended up walking over to a friend's house and David got to trick-or treat with him.

Well, that was just Too Exciting For Words. He was so pumped up that I couldn't walk fast enough to keep up with him (I walk kinda slow these days, ya know?). We ended up splitting up - John took David and I went home to hand out candy. We had a ton of kids - which was wonderful because I had TONS of candy! I did eat probably 5 or 6 pieces while I handed it out though...oops.

David and John got home about 8:15. David was zonked, but went to 3 more houses with me so I could at least see him a little bit. David was so wired, he didn't go to bed until 9:00, but he had a great time. He did get a Pez dispenser which of course Mommy thought was fabulous! Thursday morning, the first thing out of his mouth was a question - "Mommy, can I have 10 pieces of the candy that pops out? What is it called again Mommy?" I let him have 2 pieces.

This is David and his friend - Ready To Go!!!

This one is kind of dark, but they are *running* to each door. They were so excited!

He finally calmed down enough to walk instead of sprint!

What a cute tail!
